Tab Framing

by Ray Agostinelli last modified 2007-04-03 15:06

As a user with extended privileges on the site (e.g. an Advocate or Editor) you will notice that interior content on all pages of the site are now framed by a box with action tabs at the top.

  • By default, you will typically be placed into "View" mode for a page.
  • Depending on your access level, you will also see tabs for "Contents", "View", "Edit", "Properties", and "Sharing".
  • In addition, you will see small drop-down lists that allow you to affect the page content, including "Actions", "Display," "Add Item," and "State."

For your purposes as an Advocate or Editor, the following are of most importance (click on the hot-link to learn more):
  • The Contents tab: toggles you from View mode to Contents mode.
  • The Edit tab: allows you to edit the content of the page you are on.
  • The Add Item drop-down list: allows you to add a piece of content.
