Anonymous persons can view the site contents, but have limited involvement.  Joining is free, it's easy, and it grants you priveleges to post comments, join discussion threads, add dictionary words, and join groups.

For those wishing more active participation, you can request promotion to Advocate status.  This allows you to submit articles and texts sections, and start your own groups and issues.

dermAdvocate is designed to make contributing easy.  Membership is the first step.
